Boxes

Out of sheer boredom, here are (some of) my boxes. All of my rigs are named after characters from the TV series '24'.

• nadia - laptop. Dell XPS M1730. Mandriva 2010, Vista 32-bit

• audrey - desktop. Q8200, 6GB DDR2, 2.75TB storage. Quintuple-boot: Ubuntu 8.10, Mandriva 2010, Windows XP, Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows 7

• renee - phone. Palm Pre. Heavily customised webOS.

• teri - VPS, hosted with A Small Orange. CentOS 4.6, because I'm old school like that.

• curtis - Nintendo Wii. Yay for homebrew.

• milo - PS3 Slim

• Kitty MkII - Xbox 360. Exception to the rule. Do not ask about the name, other than it is mark two of Kitty.

• chloe - ye olde desktop. Still functions, but temporarily decommisioned. Will likely be brought back to life as an HTPC

• edgar - ye olde home server. Lying in pieces in the shed.

• ryan - another old desktop box. Not sure where it is or what happened to it, I just woke up one day and it was gone.

• dana - I insist that my next box is named dana. Not yet sure which box this will be, likely a second VPS.

• jack - Alright, I lie - this isn't a future box name. You can't name a box jack. You just can't.
